((This more or less happened in game last Monday, thought I'd share the recount here too))
"Oi! Was that a Nudge I felt on my Stern there, Alda?" Kai couldn't help teasing her. In such a short time she had truly become a good friend and fit in well with the Glastons.
"No, I had clearance. There was plenty of room." Alda was sure he was trying to get back at her for making fun of him early and she wasn't about to let that happen.
"I don't know looked awfully close. I sure hope my paint's not scratched." Kai really didn't know what he was getting into.
"Is that sarcasm I smell, Captain Balior?" The ever stoic Mildred even joined in the ribbing of Kaichee. The poor guy was outnumbered as the the three exchanged good natured banter while fighting the Hijos Verdedados near Cuba.
"No Milly, that was sarcasm, though I imagine it smells similiar."
"That's it! I'm scraping my ship down the entire side of his boat for that remark." Alda was smiling, but she meant it, and later in the battle she did. "Scrrrrraaape!" The little ketch rubbed against Kai's polacre and then there was a crash of broken glass.
"Augh! My windows!" Alda pulled her ship away laughing maniacally, Kai couldn't help laughing as well. It was infectious. This game of "bumper boats" was getting expensive but it was fun.
The battle was over, the Hijos captain had dived overboard not sure what to make of the Boars insane battle "tactics". Kaichee set his crew to repairs and making the ship ready for the next fight. Kai sighed contentedly, Another victory for the Brethren, another small victory for Spain. Every little bit helps I suppose. "Hey Alda, you're closest why don't you scaven...."
"Hey Kargy! Duck!"
"What!? No get the other ship not me! Hoist the sails men! She's crazy!" It was too late, Alda's rammed Kai right midships. Kai really had no idea what he had started, but had plenty of time to contemplate it as he was knocked overboard, from the force of the impact.
"I told you, you were delicate, Kargy." Alda grinned impishly.
Mildred, too, couldn't help smirking. "We'll see you in Havana, Captain Balior."
The two women laughed as they sailed off. Kaichee just shook his head and treaded water.
